We are sure you are all aware of the shattering news that Barbara Laversuch has passed away.
After enduring a long illness, Barbara finally succumbed in the morning of Wednesday January 5th, 2011.
Having fought Pancreatic Cancer and won, Barbara and Eric were jubilant (but cautious) before the curse of lung cancer struck and for them both an incredible high became a devastating low.... but they were calm, dignified and utterly amazing as they coped with this irreversible setback.
Barb proved herself to be a remarkable woman while Eric nursed her when necessary and was always ‘there’ by her side.
We will all miss Barbara; miss seeing her on the touchline, miss watching her sitting patiently waiting to drive Eric home from the pub (and some of those sessions were long!!) - and miss her... well, just being there.
Barb had become something of a ‘fixture’ at The Club, filling many rolls – Treasurer, Kit Washer, Tea Lady, Sandwich-maker and Supporter – always offering her support to husband Eric in matters of CCFC and it’s business.
For as long as there has been Eric at Colden Common FC, there had always been Barbara.
